Once upon a time, I was in a terribly toxic relationship. Okay…more than once upon a time.
When you’re stuck in a place that makes you feel weak, beaten down, hopeless and tired, it is hard to believe that you can ever climb out.
Well here I come to tell you that not only CAN you climb out, you can RISE UP.
Vanessa, how could you know this? You don’t know my life.
I don’t have to know your life. All I have to know is that you are here looking for answers. You’re kindling looking for a spark. You’re ready to burn it down, you just can’t figure out how to light the fire.
Your story unique but your rise is going to be much more simple than you think it will be. You see, when we are in the middle of the swamp, all we see is swamp. When someone is on the other side of the weeds, they know how much closer the land is to you. I’m on the other side of the weeds, arm outstretched.
Don’t believe me?
Not too long ago, this woman typing right now was “trapped”. She was not entirely miserable, no. Because she had a beautiful kid that made the middle of every day, when it was just the two of them, days that were worth waking up for.
But as a stay-at-home mother, I didn’t have an income so I was 100% dependent.
It was the first time in my life that I had allowed myself to be dependent. I was always on my own, busting my ass to make ends meet, but they were MY ends and *I* was meeting them.
So when realization hit about how toxic my relationship was…what was I to do? A full tank of gas wasn’t going to get me anywhere. And how would I eat when I got wherever anyway?
I did what everyone else does. I tried to make it work. I tried to build a tough shell around me so that the little digs wouldn’t wound me. So that the blame and financial control wouldn’t break me.
Oh, but it broke me, girl. It broke me good.
But let’s skip to the good parts, because that’s why you’re here.
What if I told you that you could regain your happiness?
What if I told you that you could wake up feeling like you’re the queen of this day?
What if I told you that you could get out?
You can. YOU can. YOU CAN.
I help you find resources in your area. I help you map out your phoenix rising moment. I support you when you slip and feel like you can’t find your footing. I’m your cheerleader, your guidance, and your friend.
And if I could do it, so can you.
Are you ready?
LET’S DO THIS.
